SWT: Class 444 'Desiro'
 | Class 444 'Desiro' Built in the early '00s by Siemens, the Desiro express units, as a follow up order to the class 450 units. They were ordered for us on the Portsmouth Direct line, but in late 2006 began to replace the Wessex Electrics on the Weymouth route following the withdrawal of the units. Throughout 2007, the fleet was plagued with crash damage with 444s 013, 026 and 042 all out of service for some point due to colliding with trees as well as a deport shunting incident at Northam in late 2007. |
